The Disc Dog Southern Nationals tournament began at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival over 22 years ago with only 10 competitors as a one-day event and has grown to a two day event over the years. In two decades, it has become one of the most prestigious canine sporting events in the South and is now a premier US Disc Dog Nationals Qualifier. During the years since its inception, teams have come to compete from as close as the surrounding states to as far away as Japan. Again this year, competitors at the Disc Dog Southern Nationals will be vying for 5 invitations to the Disc Dog World Finals in two divisions. So, come on out and watch this family-friendly. fur flying event. In 2013, the Southern Nationals is once again expected to be a crowd favorite for thousands of spectators.
Only competing dogs are allowed at the festival.
Check out the video below from last year's events!
More information is available at www.atlantadiscdogs.com. This event will be offering only the two (2) USDDN Qualifier divisions and other beginner divisions. Anyone can enter these divisions, but you MUST Pre-Register at the GADDC website, www.atlantadiscdogs.com . Both divisions require pre-registration as the only allows competing dogs at this class A Festival and does not allow spectators to bring dogs at this festival. However, if you are a dog lover you are not going to want to miss this amazing array of athletic dogs showcasing their special bond with their human partners.
